PISCES
The Fish that Swim in the Pure Sea
Dates: February 19 to March 20
Governing Planet: Jupiter
Gems: Chrysolite, pink shell, and moonstone.
Astral Colors: White, pink, emerald green, and black.
Most people know that Pisces means "fishes," but few understand the deeper meaning behind it. In Greek, the word for fish is "Ichthus," which translates to "substance from the sea." This connects to Jesus, whose name derives from the Greek word for fish, and to Mary, whose name means "sea." Thus, we see the Virgin Mary, representing the pure sea, giving birth to Jesus, the fish. This symbolizes the duality of spirit and substance.
From an earthly perspective, the Sun enters the zodiac sign of Pisces on February 19 and remains until March 20. Those born during this time typically possess a kind and loving nature; they are industrious, methodical, logical, and sympathetic, often feeling deeply for those in distress.
In biblical alchemy, the sixth son of Jacob, Naphtali—meaning "wrestling with God"—symbolizes Pisces. This is fitting, as Pisces individuals often worry about how to help their friends or those in need.
Phosphate of iron is one of the essential cell salts found in human blood and tissue. This mineral has a strong affinity for oxygen, which it carries into the bloodstream and disperses throughout the body. Since the feet serve as the foundation of the body, and iron is fundamental to blood, many health issues for Pisces individuals stem from a deficiency of iron.
Iron, known as the magnetic mineral due to its ability to attract oxygen, gives Pisces individuals a strong magnetic presence in their hands, making them effective magnetic healers.
Health relies on having an adequate amount of iron phosphate in the blood. When these oxygen carriers are lacking, blood circulation increases to compensate, leading to friction and resulting in heat. This is often referred to as fever, a term that seems disconnected from its Latin roots, "fevre," meaning "to boil out."
To be effective as a remedy, phosphate of iron (Ferrum phosphate) must be triturated according to biochemic methods with milk sugar to the third or sixth potency, allowing it to be absorbed by the mucous membranes and incorporated into the bloodstream. Crude iron does not enter circulation and can instead cause harm to the intestinal lining.
In biblical alchemy, Pisces corresponds to Naphtali, symbolizing "wrestlings of God." In the New Testament, it is linked to the disciple Philip.
The birth of Benjamin is beautifully depicted in Genesis, where he is presented as the thirteenth child of Jacob.
The gems are chrysolite, pink-shell and moonstone.
The astral colors are white, pink, emerald-green, and black.
